Manchester’s hugely acclaimed Pollen bakery is to open a new pastry kitchen and café. The new venue will be located at Kampus garden neighbourhood. Expanding on their Ancoats outlet, Pollen bakery will be take over a spacious unit, overlooking a large green space. Diners will be able to see the patisserie masters at work within an open kitchen and enjoy indoor or outdoor seating and a programme of workshops and supper clubs is planned.
Pollen bakery began life in a railway arch underneath Manchester Piccadilly in 2016. Over the following years they have been inundated with awards, and are among the UK’s leading creators of sourdough and croissants. The bakery was founded by Hannah Calvert and Chris Kelly and has since moved to Ancoats Marina, playing a key role in the area’s regeneration. The new Pollen bakery will open in early 2022, with design by Manchester studio, NoChintz (Archies, Foundation and many more). See you in the queue.
