It wouldn’t be Christmas without an annual trip to the Christmas Markets and now, the team behind Manchester street-food faves Grub have lined-up a festive-alternative to the bustling city-centre options. Their new market offering, simply titled Stall, will open its doors from Fri 29 Nov and run every Fri, Sat and Sun, offering the very best in independent street-food, drink and handmade gifts, all located in Manchester’s newest neighbourhood spot Kampus located off Aytoun Street near they city’s gay village. These off-the-beaten-track Christmas stalls will be scattered throughout the new £250 million garden-focused living and lifestyle area which is currently gearing up for its official launch in 2020. Here, festive attendees will find a range of food options from the likes of Manchester Cheesecake Co., vegan fish and chips experts The Bootle Oyster, wood fired pizzas from Pizza Patch and beef sandwiches from Shoot The Bull. Meanwhile, the Grub team promise a drink selection that’ll feature much-loved breweries like Squawk, Runaway and Pomona, alongside mulled wine and cider options. As well giving punters the opportunity to grab a well deserved festive drink and bite to eat, the market will also boast handmade gifts from a selection of local makers, making it the perfect spot to find an alternative Christmas present for that hard-to-buy-for friend or loved one.
