Up to 26 lucky guests will enjoy a vegetarian fine dining experience in a leafy corner of Stretford’s Longford Park this Saturday. A Midsummer Night’s Tea Party is organised by three local chefs known for their expertise in creating gourmet vegetarian delights: Wendy Swetnam (the talent behind Wendy’s Supperclub), Eddie Shepherd (responsible for the Modernist Vegetarian) and food philosopher Johno Johnson. The trio will be treating guests to four courses of seasonal, nutritious and ethical delicacies in an intimate atmosphere, while raising funds for Longford Park’s Pets Corner in the process. The chefs will be collaborating with the Uprising Bakehouse – a Chorlton-based bakery and coffee shop that specialises in using organic, locally sources ingredients – so a night of culinary excellence is undoubtable. Tickets are £32.50 per head, with soft drinks included in the price. You are invited to bring your own beverages too, and guests will be treated to live music to complete the magical evening.

Sat 21 Jun, Longford Park, (off Ryebank Road), Stretford, M21 9LU, 7.30pm – 10.30pm, £32.50, www.wegottickets.com
