Pride event: Summer fun & games in the heart of town

With Manchester’s licence to party returned, the city’s extraordinary Pride event is back to fill the city with love and empowerment throughout the August Bank Holiday weekend, and following its forced absence, the festival is gobbling up every exciting corner of town available.

One of those is the Great Northern Beach Club, over in Great Northern Square – just off Deansgate and a short hop over from the centre of the action in the Village. In fact, the Club’s Sunset Lounge has two big nights programmed: starting on Thursday August 26 with delicious disco night Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside, headed up by drag hosts with the most Miss Blair and DJ Marilyn Misandry, while Ginger Hunter’s Holiday Extravaganza takes over the lounge on Friday August 27 for a games night where a fine wig and a speedy bingo dabber could bag you big prizes.
