Un-Convention goes suburban this weekend, with its 39th outing taking place in Moss Side and Hulme. #uncon39 focuses on punk, party, reggae and dance culture over two days of free daytime panel talks and ticketed evening showcase performances around the two areas. Among the highlights are familiar clubbing names El Diablo’s Social Club, Wet Play, That Amazing Thing and Red Laser Disco plus performers Fingathing, The Mouse Outfit and Honeyfeet, with 808 State’s Graham Massey (pictured) also appearing. A single wristband, costing £5, allows access to all evening events, with free access to the talks available for those who pre-register (click here for both). All events will take place across several venues including The Junction, The Nia, The Garden Centre, Kim By The Sea and Z-Arts (formerly Zion Arts Centre).
