Get scared silly with a trip to Seaside Terror and a dilapidated pier that’s seen better days. Harking back to the slightly scary seaside of the Seventies, this is less about nostalgia and more about wishing you could never remember the British beach holidays you were dragged on as a nipper. Combining puppetry, masks and a specially composed score, by composer Paul Mosley, the spine-tingling nerve-shattering stage show has its roots in Odd Doll’s love of vintage horror movies which chime with the ‘mesmerising’ puppet theatre company’s sinister but colourful aesthetic. Adam Robinson’s script centres around the strange ice cream man who touts some very strange stories alongside his 99 cones from his shop on the pier. With Evil Seagulls, Zombie Donkeys and Bingo Hairballs, Seaside Terror has been described as Roald Dahl meets League of Gentlemen. Even running the gauntlet of those dreaded Brits abroad might be a preferable holiday option…
