Manchester is a city famed for its incredible creative talent. Whether it’s music, words, film or art, our track record is nothing short of spectacular.

Throughout a string of special exhibitions, audiences will be invited to The Holden Gallery for an early glimpse at work from the next wave of individuals destined to keep that legacy going.

Quartet is a series of shows hosted by Manchester School of Art, with each edition dedicated to a different creative discipline. All graduates from 2020 and 2021 have been invited to take part, with around 250 alumni showing their work over the course of four shows.

Next in the series is Media, which will run between Thu 3 Mar – Wed 16 Mar, showcasing work that spans animation, filmmaking and photography.

That will be followed by Architecture; a celebration of building and landscape design between Mon 28 Mar – Sun 10 Apr, and finally Design; covering graphic design, illustration and animation, interior design, textiles and 3D design from Mon 25 Apr – Sun 8 May.

The hugely successful first show, Art, drew to a close earlier in February—setting an immensely high standard for the shows still to come.

After the pandemic meant Manchester School of Art’s always-popular annual degree shows were unable to go ahead as normal, Quartet offers the ideal opportunity for anyone who was disappointed to have missed out.

For more information on each show, visit the school’s website.
