Quill restaurant to open on King Street

King Street is undergoing a major transformation, with many of its signature clothing stores going the way of the dodo. In their place, upmarket eateries are springing up fast. One such establishment is Quill, which is due to open later in the year. This new restaurant will offer British fine dining along with cocktails. The building was formerly Duo, on the pedestrianised part of the street, near to Deansgate. It is currently being refurbished by the award-winning company Style Contracts, and the finished restaurant will feature an indoor patio-like area for al fresco-style dining – without the Manchester weather. Quill will be the flagship venue for On the Wall, who already own the Chalk Bar & Grill in Didsbury. The company also plans for third site, due to be announced at a later date.
