Acclaimed dance company Rambert brings its thrilling stage adaptation of Peaky Blinders to The Lowry this October.

The Redemption of Thomas Shelby is a breathtaking retelling of the hit BBC series featuring stunning performances from the Rambert dancers, heightened by an iconic soundtrack performed by a live on-stage band.

Written by the show’s co-creator Stephen Knight, the show opens in the fields of Flanders before swiftly finding the Shelby family growing their empire in post-war Birmingham.

Speaking about the stage adaptation, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight said: “Peaky Blinders has always had music and movement at its heart and now the beating heart of the show will be transferred to the stage, an interpretation of Tommy’s story performed by Rambert, one of the leading dance companies in the world.

“This is dance for people who don’t usually watch dance and what I’ve written has been transformed into something startling by consummate dancers and choreographers. If the concept of a Peaky Blinders dance seems strange, reserve judgement and reserve a ticket.”

Rambert’s gripping stage choreography is accompanied by familiar hits from the show including Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Radiohead, Anna Calvi, The Last Shadow Puppets, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

The Redemption of Thomas Shelby returns to The Lowry from Tue 22 Oct – Sat 26 Oct following a packed-out UK-wide theatre tour in 2023. Tickets are on sale now, grab yours using the button below.
