A free reading event is happening at Impiety Hour this Thursday with acclaimed writers/musicians Lila Matsumoto and Edwin R Stevens.
Lila Matsumoto is a poet and musician whose latest collection Talk a Blue Streak is published by Monitor Books. Lila plays in the band Food People, and is based in Nottingham.
As a musician, Edwin R Stevens’ latest record is A Plague of Gimps (Wrong Speed Records, 2026) and previous musical projects include Irma Vep, Yerba Mansa, and Sex Hands. Now based in Glasgow, he recently published the short story collection Seagulls (Perfect Angel Press).
Alongside the readings there will be music from Manchester label-promoter Comfortable on a Tightrope.
Impiety Hour is the latest season of AD England, a bar and book/record shop in Ancoats.
