A difficult unit on Tib Street in the heart of the Northern Quarter is now the site of Manchester’s first Amsterdam-style vape and CBD cafe. The venue, which is called Hemp, is hoping to tap into the growing CBD market in the UK, which sees CBD (or cannabidiol) added to spirits, oils and vapables for a supposed extra hit of relaxation. CBD is an extract of hemp that contains smaller amounts of the active THC compound and is alleged to be good for stress and anxiety. Visit Manchester’s debut CBD cafe and you’ll find a range of infused treats on offer, from cocktails, coffees and beers – the team behind this new venture have even added a few games consoles to the venue to help you get nice and comfy. If you wish to check out the CBD craze, the Tib St unit is now open from 9am until midnight.
