Albert Hall will be a feast for the tastebuds following the hotly-anticipated opening of new ground floor bar and restaurant, Albert’s Schloss, on Friday 16 October 2015. The new German-themed bar and restaurant, which takes it’s name from the word for stately home, has moved into the ground floor of the former Wesleyan chapel. The Grade II-listed venue has become one of the city’s most adored, thanks to a unique, lozenge-shaped arena and booking policy that’s seen everyone from Damien Rice and Annie Mac to Underworld through the doors. Gigs and club nights will continue as normal with plenty going on at Albert’s Schloss every night of the week for those without a ticket, and for pre-show food and drink. Live music, DJs and modern variety shows are planned alongside the food and drink menu. Taking inspiration from Manchester’s craft brewing revival, Albert’s Schloss’s onsite copper barrels will be brewing homemade Pilsner as you drink. If you like the sound of being among the first to check out Albert’s Schloss, we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the grand opening party this Friday. Your tickets include free cocktails, free beer, acrobats, fire breathers, snacks, DJs and live music from 5pm until late. To be in with a chance of winning, email the answer to the following question to competitions [at] manchesterwire [dot] co [dot] uk with the subject line ‘Albert’s Schloss competition’. Be sure to include your name, age, phone number and Twitter handle. This one is for 18 year olds and over only.
