Social impact developers Capital&Centric have teased plans to transform’s Bolton’s Farnworth market precinct into a vibrant town centre community featuring space for artisan markets, live-events, pop-up street food vendors and art galleries. This £50m refurbishment project is led by the same team featured on the recent BBC2 documentary Manctopia and is part of a larger goal of breathing new life into this popular Bolton space.
Whilst still in the early stages of development, Boltonians, Farnworthians and Kearsleyites have been given the opportunity to feed into the proposed transformation process, offering their thoughts on what they’d like to see installed in their new town. Delis, cafe-bars, a gym, workspaces and a micro-cinema are all among the suggestions put forward by locals, with Capital&Centric also aiming to create a new linear park connected to Farnworth Central Park and providing the area with some much-needed green space.
