From a small cabin at the new Hatch park on Oxford Road, El Marchador are rustling up some sensational Mexican street food. Everything on the menu has been made from scratch using only plant-based ingredients. Even the tortillas for the Jackfruit, pineapple, jalapeno and achiote tacos come rolled directly off the press. We tried the Tostadas, with rich and aromatic black beans, topped with slow roasted sweet cherry tomatoes, and a generous helping of fresh red chilli. Just what you need to warm up on these cold winter days. With most of the food options on Oxford Road of the deep fried kind, El Marchador offer up a fast food option that you needn’t feel guilty about.
