BBC Two restaurant series Million Pound Menu, hosted by First Dates’ Fred Sirieix, is back – and the production team need diners. From Monday 8 to Friday 19 October, six of the UK’s most exciting new food concepts are coming to Manchester’s Corn Exchange. Their mission is to wow a panel of the UK’s top food and beverage investors and secure a life changing business investment. Everything from street food to fine dining is up for grabs in the hit series that saw Wholesome Junkies and Finca do well last time around. Each restaurant concept will have a soft launch, with all food half price. Those taking part this time include indo-fusion Baba G‘s (a London-based outfit specialising in ‘Bhangra burgers’), Filipino street food dudes BBQ Dreamz and upmarket Euro-fusion from Pilgrim, based on the traditional dishes found along the trail of pilgrimage which runs from Portugal to France.
