Live music venue the Roadhouse is celebrating Christmas in the usual fashion – by putting on a bloody great gig! This show doesn’t just feature your usual line-up, but a festive funbox of big hitters. First up is Badly Drawn Boy, Mercury Prize winner and the beanied maestro behind the About A Boy soundtrack. Next, Jim Noir, the Mancunian multi-instrumentalist fresh from the launch of his new album Finnish Line. Third up, they have electrosoul absurdists Stazi, fronted by stand-up comedian Owen Rankin. And lastly, but not leastly, is Chorltonian rockers the Velvet Slow Dogs – who will be performing with 72-year-old Dave Elvis (pictured), resplendent in his blue suede carpet slippers. What’s more, Chips With Everything and Stan Chow will be on DJing duties for the night. This event is free, but turning up early is recommended, as there’s likely to be plenty of hungry mouths in line for this festive feast.
