Returning to Contact Theatre for a second year, eight-freestyle’s production of Robin Hood runs from Sat 10 Dec to New Year’s Eve with a classic tale of ‘courage, friendship and bad puns’ set to the uniquely joyous sounds of upbeat 80s pop.

Reimagined as an uproarious pantomime by Manchester-based ‘creative show production specialists’ eight-freestyle, Robin Hood’s sing-a-long story recounts the titular hero’s triumph over the Sheriff of Nottingham in a glitzy barrage of ‘adventure, action, laughs, music, magic and men with mullets!’

This year’s illustrious cast comprises ‘the very best of the North West’s local stars’, including Jonathan Mayor, Adam Urey, Courtney Leigh, Kate Mitchell and others.

eight-freestyle director, Sean Canning, said:

“I am thrilled to be back producing and directing the Panto with Contact theatre again this season. Our young, local cast, fast-paced modern and fiercely Mancunian show slotted in perfectly with Contact’s mission for Manchester theatre. It’s a joy to be back again with a brand-new Pantomime, introducing new audiences to this gem of a theatre in its fabulous fiftieth year.”

On Sat 10 Dec, Contact hosts a preview performance of Robin Hood: The 80’s Panto with adult tickets just £12, under-35’s £10 and concessions just £8.
