Marty McFly may have thrust Chuck Berry on the Enchantment Under The Sea dance a little early – but he was right when he said ‘your kids are gonna love it’. Two behemoths of Manchester’s club scene, Revolver and Your Mama’s Cookin’, collide in August for a night of fevered dancing to the best the 1950s had to offer. Which was a hell of a lot. Called simply ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Music’, this is a night that is first and foremost about dancing, and will kick off with a free lindy hop lesson (from Don Woodiwiss of Manchester Lindy) to ready you for the wearing out of your best dancing shoes. Stick your favourite 1950s track on the Facebook event wall below and receive an exclusive mix CD on the night. You can’t say fairer than that. Turn up and bop out.
