Fletcher Moss turns open-air theatre next weekend as Heartbreak Productions take over with a performance of one of the world’s most famous love stories. Following on from the success of Alice – An Extraordinary Adventure earlier this month, the Didsbury gardens welcome Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet to the stage. Set in fair Verona, the renowned play tells the dramatic tale of the two young lovers caught up in family hatred and, well, we all know the iconic ending. This particular production, though, takes a modern stance on the timeless tragedy, staging a gripping performance made all the more enchanting by the gardens’ contrastingly tranquil surroundings.
