A finalist of The Saatchi Gallery and Channel 4’s New Sensations Prize last year, local contemporary artist Rafal Topolewski has established himself as one to watch in the art world. And this month sees the MMU graduate make his debut solo exhibition at The International 3 as he explores the role of traditional paint forms within a modern world obsessed with mechanical devices and digitisation. Keeping his focus on painting, the body of work presents a prominent selection of textures and concepts, presented in the form of imagined landscapes, and paintings of objects for sale, palm and pine trees. Accompanied by a commissioned text from Northern Art Prize winner, Pavel Büchler. Click here for a taste of what to expect.
