As the colder months hang over us, the fine brewers of the North are busy preparing their winter ales to warm our cockles. Sandbar has always been known for its fine selection of local and world beers, so where better to showcase the latest concoctions from breweries nationwide. Kicking off this year’s two-day festival is a ‘meet the brewer’ event on the Friday evening with Privateer Beers, a brewery based in Ardwick on, of all places, Temperance Street that has gathered a great following since its inception in 2012. Here they will be showcasing Sandbar’s exclusive house beer Tarantula, new seasonal offering Kitty Hawk and a secret new Christmas beer, available here for the first time. With many more beers to be added to the ever-rotating pumps at Sandbar, this should prove to be one hoppy weekend of new beers to help you forget the cold outside.
