Sandbar hosts its first beer festival ft. 30 local ales

Sandbar on Grosvenor Street is hosting its first beer festival at the end of this month, featuring around 30 of the finest beer offerings from Manchester and the North West from a separate, purpose-made bar on the cobbles in its Georgian loading bay, alongside the bar’s usual 7 real ales, real cider and 13 draught lines from home and abroad. The cask beers available will include tipples from the likes of Redwillow, Blackjack, Worth, Mallinsons, First Chop, Ringway and Privateer, and a constantly available vegan house beer, ‘Festival’ from The Outstanding Brewing Co in Bury. Eight different beers will be on at any one time, and when one runs out, another will soon replace it. Food will take the form of an outside barbecue throughout the weekend plus hand-made, stonebaked pizzas on Friday. As an added bonus, if you manage five pints (or 10 halves) over the course of the weekend, the next pint will be on the house!
