Fans of good food, good fun and good weekends will love the region’s Makers Markets. There are a range to choose from – at the Lowry Outlet, in the heart of Chorlton, in Spinningfields and in and around various other suburbs of Manchester, Cheshire and beyond. Each one is different, and presents the region’s finest independent traders in one place to make your weekend even better. Markets are usually served with a side of DJs, live music and a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. And they’re expanding too with a new Makers Market in the suburb of Northenden this weekend. Enjoy artisanal eats, street food, crafts, artworks, vintage items and a whole lot more on the first Saturday of the month just off Palatine Road. Traders at this first event include food stalls Oh My Glaze and Halloumination, take-home treats from Hemingways Pesto, Parched Tea and The Sugar Shed and artistic creations courtesy of Manc Art, Ben Sedman and Okay Cokay. There’ll also be DJs Stutter and Twitch soundtracking your browsing for what looks to be a new Saturday staple.
