Club promoters across Manchester and Salford have come together to form the campaign #SaveOurScene, with the aim of helping music venues, artists and those working in the local music scene during the difficult economic circumstances and venue closures caused by Covid-19.

Promoters, collectives, and clubs teamed up recently to launch the Save Our Scene – Manchester and Salford Crowdfunder campaign and are offering an impressive set of prizes for those who donate in the form of a virtual raffle. The movement is made up of promoters looking to support the workers within the local scene who’ve been hit the hardest by the recent indefinite venue closures as a result of Covid-19.

There is the option to either donate an amount of money of your choice or, purchase a raffle ticket for a minimum of £5. The raffle includes eight prize packages including a mysterious ‘Pick’n’Mix’ from Mr. Scruff, a range of professional DJ & music production courses, vinyl bundles, and festival tickets to Parklife, Homobloc, and Audio Farm’s One Tribe Festival. There are also over 60 guestlist spots up for grabs, getting you into some of the best local parties and venues such as Zutekh, P13, Meat Free, Band on the Wall, B.L.O.O.M., Albert Hall, High Hoops, Homoelectric, Soup Kitchen, and many more.

MSSOS say, “we are trying to pull together a community to see how we can best support workers in our scene who have been hit most by the indefinite venue closures within Manchester and Salford. This idea came together as we see these venues and all of the staff members essential for what we do, so we want to give back in whatever way we can.”

The funds raised will go towards the venues directly impacted from the crisis and information on how to apply for support is set to follow.

Launched just a few days ago, the campaign has already hit nearly £5k and continues to gather support.
