The project centres on six main themes – including Men and Beauty, Age and Beauty and Global Beauty – with both Selfridges Exchange Square and Selfridges Trafford joining in the celebrations. Continuing until Thursday 12 June, highlights include a series of talks in San Carlo’s Farmacia del Dolce in Selfridges Exchange Square, featuring Zawe Ashton (Vod from Fresh Meat) discussing ‘black and mixed race beauty’ in the media (Thu 8 May), and a conversation between the Guardian’s resident beauty columnist Sali Hughes (pictured), writer Emma Jane Unsworth and fashion historian Amber Butchart on beauty’s place in modern feminism (Wed 4 June). Elsewhere, celebrity make-up artist Armand Beasley will sharing his expertise and knowledge in Selfridges Exchange Square, while the Trafford branch will house a unique Fragrance Lab where shoppers can claim their signature scent, specifically created to compliment their character and personality. With some of the biggest beauty brands in the world involved, Selfridges is your one-stop shop for all your beauty needs this month.
