Tucked away down an alley off Stevenson Square, Kraak is the party starters favourite Northern Quarter’s club. Oozing a sense of wildness with an edge that characterised the Northern Quarter of old, it’s a much loved venue for clubnights like Witch*unt, occasional home to Wet Play and of course, leading LGBT nights like Drunk at Vogue. November sees the return of the r’n’b, hip-hop and pop-focused all-welcoming party, Off the Hook. On the decks will be Anthony Crank and Greg Thorpe spinning the likes of Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Kanye, and of course the Wee Papa Girl Rappers. Compering and ‘glamma’ will come courtesy of local bon vivant, Wan’gu Chafuwa.

Sat 15 Nov, Kraak, The Alleyway, 11 Stevenson Square, Northern Quarter, M1 1DB, 11pm til late, £5 OTD. Early arrival recommended.  www.facebook.com/OffTheHookClub
