Shaken Stories and Verse at Fab Cafe

Manchester’s exciting spoken word scene sees one of its more off the wall nights return this month at Fab Cafe. All pieces hang on sci-fi and pop cultural befitting of Manchester’s most prominently geeky venue – but there’s certainly no attempt to put off those not normally of a sci-fi bent with the theme being given a very broad interpretation. Expect a varied collection of short story writers and poets, all with their own interpretation of the theme, held together by the hosting talents of Anna Percy (pictured), a name familiar to regulars at spoken word events in Manchester. If you’re looking for a way to battle through a dreary January Sunday evening then you can do much worse than a raucous night of spoken word with a beer or two.
