Northern Quarter variety shed Sham Bodie celebrated its first birthday last month with a fantastic show and boozy blowout. This month, they’re back presenting a Christmas spectacular with all the trimmings: The bequiffed bard of Ashton-under-Lyne Liam Pickford returns to the stage with his comitragic portrayal of Father Pissedmas, an alternate reality Santa who sports rosy red cheeks all year round. International bad boys and comedy double-act Sam & Tom bring their unique, lightning-quick fungasms over from Sheffield for their Sham Bodie debut. Providing musical support for the night is She Choir – a choir comprised of shes – and there’ll be other fun party games on offer, including 12 Shots of Eggnog, which is exactly as festive/grim as you’d imagine it to be! All this held together by Shamaster of Ceremonies Ben Tonge (pictured, as an elf). If you want a sample of the flavour of this show, the Bodie Boys have kindly gift-wrapped a video below for your pleasure. This show is likely to sell out, so purchasing tickets the moment you’ve finished reading this sentence is strongly advised.
