Salford Lads Club has announced that music legend Shaun Ryder (image here by Elspeth Moore) will be the special guest for a fund-raising ‘in conversation with’ John Robb on Sunday 17 Oct. It follows closely from the publication of Shaun’s new book ‘How to Be a Rock Star’ (out on 7 Oct; if anyone knows how to do this, Shaun does), and also promoting his new album ‘Visits From Future Technology’. There will be an interview with these two legends, and then the second part of the evening will see John putting questions submitted by the audience. There will be a chance to buy signed books on the night, as well as Lads club merchandise.
Like so many venues throughout the pandemic, Salford Lads Club has been badly hit over the past 18 months, and all profits from this event are going to the club and related kids’ activities.
