All-lady choir SHE arrive at Icelandic coffee house Takk (pictured) to provide an evening of acoustic and a capella with a little help from some friends. Their last gig of the school year promises to be their biggest and boldest yet with covers of popular songs and some lesser known gems. Helping them on the night will be an acoustic set from Abi and Vince followed by Le Shig, an all-female four-piece playing their interpretations of your favourite 1990s R&B and pop tunes. Before the main event we are treated to the Skalactites, a ska band that’s more than just a puntastic name: with a five-man horn section they perform classic first-wave ska alongside hilarious mash-ups with a beat so infectious it’s guaranteed to get the party skanking. SHE Choir will then take the stage to serenade us on a summer’s eve. We just hope they will one day have a choral stand off with those weirdy beardies of the Northern Quarter Boy’s Choir. Ps. It’s BYOB.
