Taking place over two weekends in June, Victoria Baths will see their venue transformed into an intoxicating outdoor vegan and ethical market. The Grade II listed heritage site will host the perfect escape on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 and once again the weekend after on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June, with this fully vegan take-over.
Visitors can look forward to indulging in some of Manchester’s best vegan street food and drinks with friends under a huge marquee in a truly unique environment that first opened its doors in Chorlton-on-Medlock back in 1906. Local vendors and stallholders will offer a wide selection of eclectic and ethically sourced home crafts, recycled jewellery, sustainable household creations and delicious vegan treats. Popular businesses such as Manchester’s leading vegan and vegetarian specialist 8th Day Co-operative, Rootstock, Plastic Shed and Studio Dawn will all be present, bringing their creations and philosophies to the public eye.
Attendees are also invited to explore the century old building and experience a permanent exhibition which tells the history of Victoria Baths and shows two newly restored exquisite stained-glass windows. The Victoria Baths gift shop will also be present over both weekends in the beautifully sun-kissed Pineapple Room, where it will offer a charming selection of products inspired by Manchester’s water palace.
The event, which aims to bring a focus on sustainable and ethical lifestyles, will run from 11am to 8pm with an entry fee of just £4. Bookings must be made in advance here, with all proceeds going towards maintaining this iconic heritage site.
