The North West’s best comedy minds are piling in together to create a sketch they hope will fill the comedy gap in the UK. Taking inspiration from the live sketch show format of Saturday Night Live, they will incorporate all manner of techniques to wring laughs from the darkest and weirdest comic territories. Skit-wit wonders Gein’s Family Gift Shop are technically the only sketch group involved, whereas the rest are more know for either straight stand-up routines like Phil Ellis and Lou Conran or character comedians such as Peter Slater and Lee Fenwick. Rounding out the cast are rising star Kiri Pritchard-Mclean and funniest Manc on twitter Danny Sutcliffe. The night promises to be a rapid-fire mix of live vignettes, pre-recorded sketches and a promise of much more comedic surprises to keep the audience on their toes. For those who like their comedy different and multi faceted, Sketchole is a must see.
