Whether you’ve got ink or not, you’ve got to admit that the world of tattoo artistry is an intriguing one. Manchester International Tattoo fair highlights the highest level of the craft, spread over two days from the first weekend of August. With artists working live on both days, this is your chance to either get work done by some of the world’s best or just to see them at work. This is a celebration of all sizes and styles, with the Tattoo Awards giving prizes for the best work in all genres, from small and monochrome to full sleeves and everything in between. Aside from inking, there will be the Henna, a modern circus performance and trapeze, as well as other – not yet confirmed – things, too.

Sat 3 – Sun 4 Aug, Manchester Central, Windmill Street, M2 3GX, 11am onward, £25 weekend pass, £18 day pass, http://www.manchestertattooshow.com/tickets
