Slice will be one of the final exhibitions taking place at Federation House: Castlefield Gallery’s pop-up, city-centre art space. Before this unfortunate, yet inevitable move, the various art groups that reside in Federation House will put on a series of closing shows that pay a testament to its role as a cultural venue. This exhibition will bring together the experimental practices of nine visual artists, some of whom exhibited work at the first ever exhibition that took place at Federation House, including: Clare Tierney, Danny Markham, Amy Stevenson, Ben Gardner, Danielle Harrison, Olivia Britain, Dave Taylor, Paul Carling and Jamie Wilson. Their work explores a range of themes from skateboarding to consumerism and the show will feature a variety of mediums, including: video, painting, drawing, printing and sculpture.
