Slice Saver: Common is giving away free 8s pizza at new basement residency

To celebrate the launch of a brand new pizza venture, Northern Quarter hotspot Common is giving away free slices of 8s Pizza to punters who pay their new subterranean kitchen a visit from 7pm on Thu 6 Jun. What’s 8s pizza? Well seen as you asked, it’s 21″ New York style pizza that’s served by the slice and cooked slowly, giving it a flavoursome lightness whilst maintaining some strength for folding. It marks a new collaboration between Common/Port Street Beer House/Indy Man Beer Con’s Jonny Heyes and Rudy’s Jim Morgan and an exciting new addition to the city’s already thriving pizza scene. 8s is also a slice that’s designed to be enjoyed alongside a casual drink – which is handy because that’s exactly what you’ll need to buy if you want to bag yourself one. 100 free slices of 8s Pizza will be available to the first 100 people who buy a drink on the night – but if you miss out, don’t worry. Common plan to continue serving up the goods (almost) every Thursday for the foreseeable future.
