A second chance to experience the live reimagining of Talking Heads’ legendary concert film, Stop Making Sense, lands at Albert Hall next spring, with 10-piece outfit Slippery People adding a new opening show after the initial one-off date rapidly sold out.

First released in 1984 by Talking Heads and director Jonathan Demme, Stop Making Sense is regarded as one of the greatest pieces of music cinema in history, and has earned endless acclaim across the decades for its unprecedented slow-build staging, swelling atmosphere and kinetic, precision-tooled funk.

Following their electrifying debut at Gorilla, Slippery People are set to render the same arc in real time, from David Byrne’s iconic entrance armed only with a guitar and a beat box for Psycho Killer to the expansion of the ensemble into percussion, powerhouse backing vocals and those inimitable synth textures.

Audiences can expect all the pulsating basslines, squared suits, propulsive movement and breathless creativity of the film in the flesh, alongside some surprises on the night.
