Victoria Warehouse, home of The Warehouse Project, may be Manchester’s best-known storage place turned live venue – but this month Robert Street (pictured) gets in on the action as takes over for an exclusive night of house and techno. With SLOPE’s website and Facebook page being set up just recently and featuring little more than details of the event, all focus seems to be on the line-up, featuring live performances of hardware-based techno from Kenny Love and Diane Edwards, and analogue electronica from Machine Woman. And with DJ sets from Mark Maxwell, Jimmy Nadir and Michael to complete the evening, this warehouse-based night, situated around the corner from Strangeways Prison, seems to be the ideal underground warm-up night before The Warehouse Project kicks off in October.
