Following last year’s sell-out run and a critically acclaimed stint at Edinburgh Fringe, the smash-hit production Dear Billy offers a unique, touching and wildly funny tribute to legendary Scottish comic Billy Connolly on Sat 1 Jun at The Lowry.

Billed as ‘A gloriously masterful 90 minutes of theatre’ by The Telegraph, Dear Billy brings a riotous yet deeply moving celebration of The Big Yin to Salford with a collection of stirring, side-splitting tales from childhood friends, shipyard co-workers, comedic colleagues and diehard fans. Written and performed by renowned theatre-maker Gary McNair, Dear Billy gathers a lifetime of hilarious, stirring anecdotes to weave a triumphant tapestry of a nation’s favourite son and a generational comic genius, honouring the best of Scotland’s greatest comic and what he means to his people.

Promising an unmissable night of joyous entertainment and inimitable wit, Dear Billy invites audiences to join Gary and the band as they hit The Lowry stage for their first show outside of Scotland, armed with even more incredible stories about a modern legend.
