So Flute has attracted big names from the world of electronic soul music in its year-and-a-bit existence. Following parties headlined by Gilles Peterson, Letherette and No Fakin, organisers are bringing Detroit producer Andrẽs (pictured) to the Roadhouse. Regarded highly due to his work with Slum Village as their former DJ, his collaborations with deep house dons Theo Parrish and Moodymann – plus the ultimate hip-hop hero, J Dilla – his album Andrẽs II is a go-to for anyone who wants a crash course in purist hip hop, house and boogie. The party is great opportunity to experience his soul, hip hop, boogie, house and disco selections up close and at a reasonable price, as he’s also joining the line up for Julio Bashmore’s ‘Curated By’ party at The Warehouse Project a week later.
