A veritable comedy marathon hits the Frog & Bucket this week with up to 15 new acts taking to the stage to prove that they don’t just think they’re funny, they know it – and probably have it written down on their hand. With a chance to perform at the Edinburgh Festival in the final, the contestants will be hoping to gain entrance to an elite group that have gotten to the final in the 25 years this competition has been running. Past participants who have had their careers kickstarted by SYTYF are Dylan Moran, Peter Kay and Lee Mack to name but a few. Pop down to see the future of Mancunian, and hopefully British, comedy.
