For the last few years North Tea Power has been serving up not just fine teas and single estate coffees but exhibitions by rising British artists too. Autumn was home to geometric works by Anna Beam, while the forthcoming show features London-based artist MJF Chance (www.mjfchance.co.uk), a student of The Prince’s Drawing School. Curated by Aliyah Hussain (Volkov Commanders) this solo exhibition entitled Foliate previews on Thursday and features new work from the man probably best known to Mancunians as the hand behind many of Fat Out til You Pass Out’s posters for their shows at Islington Mill (pictured).

From Thu 10 Jan, North Tea Power, 36 Tib Street, M4 1LA, open during coffee shop hours, FREE, www.mjfchance.co.uk
