Fancy a little freeform thinking? The Philosophy Café at Manchester Art Gallery could be just the place, particularly if you happen to be off work on a Tuesday morning. This informal discussion group meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Topics under discussion include definitions of art and liberty, typically stemming from different pieces in the Gallery’s collection (such as one of Grayson Perry’s tapestries, pictured). At the end of the meeting, participants propose and vote on topics for the next meeting; the topic that gets the most votes will be discussed at next one. You don’t need to book, just turn up and meet Sue at the gallery information desk at the start of the session.
