A spectacular light trail is set to illuminate the gorgeous green surroundings of RHS Garden Bridgewater this Christmas.

Now a fixture of the region’s festive calendar, RHS Glow returns with a reimagined trail, complete with striking new installations that will transform the gardens after dark.

Running on selected evenings from Thu 26 Nov – Wed 30 Dec, this year’s RHS Glow will debut several new experiences, ranging from interactive displays, seasonal performances and a dedicated SEN-friendly evening on Tue 8 Dec.

Among this year’s highlights is a spectacular new commission from outdoor arts specialists Walk the Plank. Rising from the depths of RHS Bridgewater’s Ellesmere Lake will be a magnificent Chinese dragon, surrounded by 13 giant glowing lotus flowers that will dance across the lake.

Visitors will also encounter a series of playful animated installations by illustrator and artist Rob Hodgson, whose colourful woodland creatures appear to come alive among the trees. Glow favourites Jago Juggling Arts are back, too, with brand new choreographed light show Halo.

The festive atmosphere extends beyond the trail, with the Stables Courtyard becoming a hub of seasonal food, drink and entertainment. Visitors can warm up with festive favourites including hot drinks, toasted marshmallows, bratwurst hot dogs and pizza, while specials such as mulled wine, hot cider and hot Vimto will be available from pop-up bars across the site.

For last-minute Christmas shopping, the RHS Garden Centre and Gift Shop will be open, perfect for picking up treats for green-fingered friends and loved ones.
