Spoken word: Verbose with guests The Other Room at Fallow Cafe

The increasingly healthy live literature scene in Manchester has seen suburban night Verbose host 5 packed monthly nights so far and this Monday sees them celebrate their half-year anniversary with the aid of another live literature night, The Other Room. To mark the occasion they’ve had a small rebrand but Verbose, and host Sarah-Clare Conlon’s, focus on showcasing collectives rather than individual writers has meant the no change to strong and varied names at each night from groups such as Curious Tales, FlashTag, and Inklings to go alongside a packed open mic which this month features Bad Language’s [themselves with a birthday in the same week] Fat Roland amongst others. Unsurprisingly when a night with such a strong reputation places itself outside of the city centre, the events get packed so make sure you get down early if you want to elbow your way to the bar at the cosy Fallow Cafe.
