One of Manchester’s most iconic buildings, Victoria Baths, is throwing open its doors in April for SpringFest, a day-long event featuring the arts, food, and interactive activities. Music takes centre stage, quite literally, with the spotlight put on some local talent. Appearing will be the all-female SHE Choir and the post-punk band ILL. Visual enrichment will come in the form of exhibitions all over the building, showcasing various artistic styles. Our Kids Social will bring family-friendly entertainment with ‘Make, Do and Bop’ – a silent disco and hands-on craft session. For the Great Baths Bake Off, people can to bring along their homemade confections for the chance to win a prize. There will also be free workshops where visitors can learn new skills, and guided tours will reveal the building’s hidden histories and spaces. Some events cost extra and require pre-booking. Food stalls will be offering everything from wood-fired pizzas to cakes, and the venue’s bar will be open all day for soft drinks.
