Square Gardens hosts First Street Dates to match renters with their perfect roommate

Later this month, Manchester’s innovative new co-living development Square Gardens is set to host First Street Dates, a free and fun-filled event where guests will meet up with fellow flat-hunters to find their ideal roommate.

Taking place at the new Gino D’Acampo restaurant on Wed 14 Aug, First Street Dates takes inspiration from the smash-hit TV show to bring Manchester’s roving roomies together to discover their perfect match with an evening of canapes, drinks, live music and mingling, led by renowned global dating and relationship expert, Jacob Lucas. He’ll be on hand to help prospective renters find their best co-living partners, while offering practical tips and advice on living together harmoniously and avoiding common pitfalls.

Jacob, who makes a living out of helping people in their relationships as a full-time coach, said: “Embracing the co-living lifestyle can be a great way to land a lifelong friend but, as with all relationships, moving in together can have its challenges, so it’s important you make the right match.

“You need to find somebody whose habits and values align with yours. Asking the right questions and smart timing are some of the tips we’ll be running through to aid people in their search, as well as advice on establishing boundaries, resolving conflicts, and bonding from the beginning to ensure a happy, healthy living environment.”
