Local brewing favourites, Squawk, will be opening their first bricks and mortar bar, Pelican, on Fri 31 Mar, taking over the former Beatnikz site on Dale Street.
The brewery was started up 10 years ago by local lad, Ollie, and has been located in an old railway arch in Ardwick up until now.
With 14 keg & 4 cask lines in total, visitors to Pelican can expect a sizeable range of Squawk’s own brews and a wide variety of rotating guest beers gracing the taps. There’ll also be a carefully curated selection of wine and spirits on offer, along with Bloody Marys for the tender mornings after.
DJs will be spinning tunes throughout the opening weekend, something that will become a regular thing for the new opening. The team have also said they plan to act as aa fringe venue to all sorts of exciting events happening across the city. Think film nights, karaoke, foody offerings, games nights and Crafternoons.
Keep an eye on their Insta for updates.
