Station South hosts a family-friendly art exhibition this Friday, celebrating local graffiti artist and muralist Laurie Pink.

Laurie has worked closely with the venue for years, a collaboration that has led to the creation of his ‘Bike Monsters’ characters, who will take centre stage for the exhibition.

The characters featured have been inspired by the array of wonderful characters that stop off at the café while cycling around the Fallowfield Loop. ‘Big Floopz’ is the star of the show, the resident scone ambassador for Station South and the self-appointed guardian of the Loop.

Suitable for the whole family, the exhibition will also include limited edition Bike Monster colouring books for sale, as well as a hunt for ‘Ralley’, another character who has gone missing in the venue, with rewards on offer for those who can find clues that lead to his recovery.

Pauline Johnston, Director at Station South said: “Laurie’s Bike Monsters really do capture and represent a mix of the great local characters we love to see being active, getting out and about and cycling around the Fallowfield Loop and now, visiting the cycle café too. It’s been a chance to explore and celebrate the personas of some of our favourite, fun and joyful visitors and advocates along the way and find our inner bike monsters too!”

Zuri Cake and friends will be on the decks throughout the evening, and there’ll even be a few drinks tokens hidden around the place. The exhibition gets underway from 7pm and will run through until late.
