Sitting 17 miles outside of Manchester and rife with exceptionally picturesque views thanks to the surrounding Pennine valleys, the Golden Lion in Todmorden will play host to an evening of diverse talent from our own soil and beyond. Headlining the evening is Daniel Bachman, a Virginia-born lap steel guitar player whose pristine, delicate fingerstyle evokes rolling landscapes not too dissimilar to the idyllic scenes in Todmorden. His thoroughly enchanting guitar output is very well complimented by West Yorkshire-based electric guitarist Dean McPhee, whose chiming melodic lines are pieced together by his unique improvisation and experimental style; drawing on British folk, post rock, model jazz and more. Finally, some homegrown talent from Sophie Cooper and her dreamlike psychedelic pop, rounds off the bill. Basin Rock DJs will be spinning records until late.
