Indie-god Stephen Malkmus pitches up in the city again this week, returning to the Deaf Institute this Friday thanks to Now Wave. The former Pavement frontman is fizzing around Europe this summer, praise still ringing for last year’s return-to-form Mirror Traffic LP. Expect clever, tongue-in-cheek indie-pop like Senator (watch here), heavy rock moves from The Jicks and, if Malkmus is in a good mood, perhaps the odd Pavement track.
